Realme Watch Review: Powerful $50 Smartwatch For Android Users

Today in this article we are going to comparetwo of the latest smartwatches in India one of which has already been launched and it'sfrom realme the other one is from Huami and that is the amazfit bip s, this is going tolaunch on 3rd june in India, so that preety close, both these watch offers a lot of featuresand costs less than 5000Rs.

So without keeping you waiting you anymore, lets begin. Starting with the DesignBoth Smartwatches offer similar square design with a button on the right side.

They alsooffer the branding at the bottom bezel but bip S has more symmetrical bezels with thescreen in the center, whereas the realme watch comes with a bigger bottom bezel .

The AmazfitBip S weighs only 31 grams and realme watch weigh 33 grams with the strap included andcan be comfortably carried while working out or playing an outdoor sport.

The Display is where things get interestingthe Realme Watch features a 1.4-inch Color LCD display With 320x320 pixel resolutionand 2.5D Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection, it gets the max brightness of 380 nits with10 levels of adjustment.

That is enough bright for both indoor andoutdoor. While the Bip S comes with 1.28″ transflectivecolor display with a 176 x176pixel resolution and 2.5D Corning gorilla glass 3 protectionand AF coating. The transflective display gets brighter withincreasing intensity of the light meaning the brighter the sunlight is, the clearerthe display looks, making it ideal for outdoor sports. also it has a backlight for indoor usage.

The realme watch will have a more crisp displaybecause of that higher pixel count, and it will be more pleasant to look at. The Bip S looks washed out, and the resolutionis low, but it still readable.

They both get with GG3 protection meaningthe display can handle minor scratches.

I am not sure whether realme watch comes withanti-fingerprint coating but Bip S does come with that.

As for batteryThe realme band comes with a 160 mAh battery, which Realme claims can offer seven days oflife with 24x7 heart rate monitoring turned on, and nine days without it. the Amazfit bip s comes with 200mah battery.

Huamisays it can last for up to 40 days on a single charge, thanks to Huami’s wise choice ofinternal components for the fitness tracker.but battery reduces greatly if you use GPS regularly,it means you'll likely only need to reach for the charger a couple of times in a month.

Overall its better in battery department comparedto realme watch. About the sensors present in the watchBip S comes with Bio-tracker PPG Bio-Tracking Optical Sensor for heart rate monitoring3-axis acceleration sensor 3-axis geomagnetic sensorand GPS + GLONASS So that you can track your location independently without the need ofyour smartphone.

As for Realme watch, we getacceleration sensor, a heart rate sensor, and also a SpO2 blood oxygen sensor thereis no GPS onboard. And before we get into the functions, thereis one more thing I have to mention - Both of these watches use Bluetooth V5.0 to connect.

THe Amazefit bip s is compatible with devicesrunning Android 5.0 and up and iOS 10.0 and up. but for a Realme watch it can work with onlyAndroid 5.0 and above and not with IOS. So Now let's check some basic functions thesewatches can perform. The Amazfit Bip S supports music control, compass, weather forecast, alarm clock, call notification that is you can either rejector silence the call, you cannot attend the call, there are message notifications andother 3rd party apps are also supported. the Realme watch is capable of providing notificationalerts for apps installed on your smartwatch.

These notifications can be of any voice calls,SMS messages, or 3rd party chat messages. Further, you can use the Realme Watch to unlockyour phone,it act as camera shutter and control music player. and similar to bip s you cant attend callsfrom the watch itself however you can reject or mute a call. Now lets dive into the sports mode of thesesmart watches. The Amazfit Bip S gets 10 sports trackingmodes but in the future they will add few more modes via OTA updates.

Theres Treadmill, Outdoor running, Walking,Indoor cycling, Outdoor cycling, to name a few. Also Amazfit Bips S gets the Huami-PAI healthassessment feature. Using data about your physical activitiesover the last seven days, the companion app shows a PAI score. Realme watch also comes with 14 Sports Modes, with Aerobic Capacity, Badminton, Treadmill, Elliptical and Table Tennis being the newones introduced by Realme. Both are IP 68 certified build that has dustand water resistance but amazfit bip S is the only one that comes with swimming modeto collect swimming data.
